Vampire Diaries' Wesley: Damon Is a Puppy In Comparison to What Stefan Is Morphing Into
The Vampire Diaries' Stefan Salvatore is headed back down the ripper road, but this time will he be able to return from it?
"There will be a surprising thing that happens a few episodes in that will
cause Stefan to turn the corner fully and really absorb himself in this darkness
with absolutely no sense of conscience and no predisposed history of his prior
empathy and his prior life as a 'good' so to speak," Paul Wesley tells TVGuide.com. "Damon, in comparison to what Stefan is morphing into, is a puppy."
When viewers last saw Stefan, he had agreed to team up with the most powerful and dangerous creature to grace Mystic Falls, Klaus, in order to get the cure for Damon's fatal wolf bite. Stefan and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) are on the road in the Season 3 premiere, and time will pass before Stefan is reunited with girlfriend Elena (Nina Dobrev).
"Stefan is doing everything he can to not come face-to-face with Elena because what she represents is a part of him he's had to let go of," executive producer Julie Plec says. "[He's] reverting to some old behaviors and old problems that he has worked very hard to combat and it's a side of himself he never wanted Elena to see again."
Wesley likens Stefan's taste of blood to a recovering drug addict using again, and says that, although viewers may not like the blood-thirsty version of Stefan, he's OK with that. "Not every character has to be likeable, [but] every character should have empathy. I think viewers should watch Stefan and feel [for him], whether they agree or disagree with what he's doing."
As Stefan travels further towards destruction we'll continue to see different sides of him. At first, Stefan reluctantly follows through with Klaus' demands while secretly plotting against him so that he can protect his loved ones. Then, Plec says, "There's the Stefan who just can't stop once he gets started ... and then ultimately there's going to be the Stefan that doesn't care anymore and that's the most dangerous Stefan. When that happens that will take the most to recover from."
With Stefan away, there will be plenty of alone time left for Damon and Elena. The two shared a kiss while Damon was on his deathbed, but more importantly, he finally sought redemption and Elena forgave him. What does their future hold now that they've come to a place of understanding — and possible more? Guilt, Plec says. "That's going to loom heavily over them. Damon is not one who likes to feel guilt or obligation ... so does he go back to his crazy, wild ways as a way of making a point that he feels no guilt for no man? Or is he being driven by his need to bring his brother back? Or does he say, 'Screw it, I'm going after the girl I love'?"
Plec adds that Damon starts to think, "Well hang on, I thought maybe I never had a chance with his girl because how could she love a monster like me? But hey if you stack a monster and a monster, I ain't so bad."
Elena, meanwhile, will also have conflicting emotions over the situation (just look at the latest promo!). Katherine was onto something when she told her in the finale, "It's OK to love them both." As she turns 18, she'll start to soul-search and Plec says, "Although it's not very conventional ... she'll soon have to ask herself that question of, 'How do I feel about each of them and is what I feel OK? What it is about me that loves the way I love and who I love and what does that say about me?'"
Still, hope is not lost between Stefan and Elena. "That eternal love story between Elena and Stefan is something that I hope everyone always roots for, but they might not like him in the process," Wesley says.
Adds Plec: "The one thing Elena understands fundamentally about Stefan is that there's the Stefan who's a monster being lead by his own demons — the basic nature of vampirism — and then there's the Stefan that fought like hell to holdonto whatever part of his humanity he could hold onto — and that Stefan is worth saving."

Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder Says Damon Is, Like, So Pissed
The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder can sum up Damon Salvatore's attitude early on this season in one word: Pissed. Not only is his brother on a serious downward spiral, but now Damon is tasked with being the sole person to protect the woman that the Salvatores love, Elena. TVGuide.com checked in with Somerhalder who explained the three things viewers need to know about Damon in Season 3.
3. He's angry. Damon always wanted his brother to feed on humans just like he does, so now that he's doing so, what's the big problem? Stefan's only hanging with Klaus these days. "He tried for two seasons to get his brother to do what Damon was all about: destroy everything in [their] path ... and eat and munch on every sorority girl he can reach. He tried for a really long time to make that happen to no avail and now Stefan's running around doing that exact thing, but with Klaus, who is a prick. And he tried to kill Damon! So you can see where his frustration comes from."
2. He doesn't want to save the day. Although Damon would do anything to protect Elena and Stefan (and maybe a few others), he does not want to be the resident hero. "He just never saw his life going down this road," Somerhalder says. "He's the anti-hero and even though he's supposed to take on this role he doesn't want it."
1. He's no longer convinced he should be with Elena. Damon is in love with Elena and her boyfriend is on the road, so it's prime opportunity to swoop in, right? Not quite. "I know a lot of people would like for that to happen, but the reality of it is that he's done some pretty messed up stuff," Somerhalder says. "Even if he does get in her good graces he'll always do something to screw it up." Also, they're polar opposites. "She wants a life of peace with no death and he's [into] destructive killing. It's like trying to watch a lion and a gazelle be friends, it's just not meant to be. They're just two different animals. One is a predator and one is prey."
Stefan and Elena's Struggles, the Originals and More Vampire Diaries Spoilers
Slap on your flapper dresses and tailcoat tuxedos. The Vampire Diaries is flashing back to the
roaring '20s.
In Thursday's episode, Stefan (Paul Wesley) will revisit a piece of his past, one in which he doesn't actually remember (thank goodness for diaries!), but is filled with blood and a serious disregard for human life and emotions. How horrifying is it? Let's just say that next to Ripper Stefan, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) actually looks pretty tame.
As Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) attempt to track him down, they'll be faced with their own set of problems; namely, what could possibly bring him back from the brink of maniacal bloodlust? Plus, new friends and old foes return. Get the scoop on Vampire Diaries' trip to the '20s below, along with Caroline's (Candice Accola) fate, the Originals and Jeremy's (Steven R. McQueen) ghost issues.
1. Ripper's trip to the '20s: Before Stefan discovers why doesn't remember his experiences in the era by the end of the episode, he'll revisit his time there as he and Klaus travel to Chicago in an attempt to contact a witch who may hold the key to why Klaus
can't create new hybrids. In doing so, we'll find out why Stefan really is important in the long run. "One of the big questions that we left last year with was why Klaus took such an interest in Stefan, Stefan specifically of all people," executive producer Julie Plec says. "What we really wanted to do was show the roots of Klaus' character as it relates to his family, the people that he's known for 1,000 years and been with off and on for 1,000 years that we notoriously know that he's daggered one by one and carted around in coffins."
2. The Originals, resurrected: The family will be popping in and out this season, but don't expect to see all of them. "That was our intention until we did the math and realized we've said there's seven children, and that's a lot of new people to bring into the story," Plec says. "The mother is going to be someone we meet in the past, as well as other siblings and we'll see Elijah [Daniel
Gillies] again."
3. Elena's mission to save Stefan: Stefan and Elena will finally come face-to-face. "This episode is a big deal for the Stefan and Elena relationship," Plec says. "In her plucky little heart... she's a compassionate savior of her friends and loved ones. I really do think she believes it is as easy as just getting him out of that environment." Unfortunately, it's not that easy. We'll see Elena "as she struggles with her desire to help rescue this hero in her life... but also the realities of learning the lesson that you can't necessarily let yourself be consumed in your own life by saving someone else's."
4. Old foes return: "We get to learn some old, old secrets and return to play with some old friends-slash-foes," Plec teases of Thursday's episode. We're sworn to secrecy not to reveal exactly who is returning, but he or she will appear in both the past and present.
5. Caroline gets tortured: If you thought Klaus was heartless when it came to his family, that's nothing in comparison to Caroline's dad (Jack Coleman), who takes to torturing her in an attempt to break her of her blood lust. "It's a story about a parent thinking they know best for their child," Plec says, and in this case, father does not know best.
6. Ghostly appearances: While Jeremy doesn't appear in Thursday's episode, his visions of dead girlfriend Vicki (Kayla
Ewell) and Anna (Malese Jow), who are seemingly at odds, will come back in full force the following week. "There is an agenda happening with our ghosts that isn't just, 'Hey, I want to make amends with my loved ones,'" Plec says. "We're [also] going to see the emotional consequences of Bonnie [Katerina Graham] bringing Jeremy back to life, which is that it's put a rift in her romantic relationship with him. Our arc is to see what the ghostly and supernatural consequences are. We go all out in Halloween and have ourselves some fun. It's not Halloween in the show, but we still do an episode where we get to have a little fun with ghosts and really pay off that chapter." Plus: Plec notes that Jeremy seeing dead people is not limited to just Anna and Vicki.
7. The Council divided: The discovery that Caroline is a vampire and Tyler (Michael Trevino) is a werewolf will have consequences on the Council, those sworn to protect Mystic Falls from the supernatural. "There's a couple juicy Council moments coming up," Plec says. "For those of you that follow the moves of the council and their glorious incompetencies, next week showcases that beautifully. Next week, it's like, 'Wait a second, who actually on this council is not somehow carrying a secret for their child that are supposed to be the very people we are fighting against?'"
8. Matt's struggles: Matt's (Zach Roerig) issues with the supernatural nature of Mystic Falls will come to a head in the fifth episode. "It's set the weekend before senior year begins, and it's an annual tradition of senior prank night and things, of course, goes horribly wrong," Plec says. "For Matt, specifically, it's kind of bittersweet because... there was a sense of life he's had that he's really lost over the two seasons of our show and it's really hurting him. We get to explore that in a beautiful and tragic way." Plus, Plec adds, "Matt's gotta get laid this year, for sure, because he just needs that. He needs love."

'The Vampire Diaries' Delena dish: Will Elena admit to feelings for Damon?
Stefan and Elena may be "The Vampire Diaries" golden couple, but things
are going to get worse for these two before they get better. Stefan is headed
down a very bad road with Klaus, and even when Stefan does return to Mystic
Falls (whenever that may be) he's hardly going to be in any shape to take Elena
to the homecoming dance.
So, of course, the question on everyone's mind: Where does that leave Damon?
In last week's episode, Damon insisted that Elena admit that she was worried about him, because, as he said, if Stefan does get his act together, Damon doesn't want Elena to forget how close they've grown while little bro has been gone. Their friendship certainly deepened over the summer, though all Elena would admit to was that she cares whether Damon lives or dies. It's not exactly the stuff of romance novels.
"There's yet to be an admission of that chemistry from her part," executive producer Julie Plec said in a Q&A that Zap2it attended on Wednesday. In the Oct. 6 episode, "Disturbing Behavior," Elena's refusal to admit to her feelings for Damon may be addressed.
"Next week's episode kind of illuminates that a little bit," Plec confirms. "A lot's gone unsaid. There's a big elephant in the room as far as all this fun little stolen moments and romantic banter and their dynamic with each other. It hasn't gone unnoticed with other
people."
With Stefan continuing to self-destruct (and to other-people-destruct, too), Elena's besties aren't going to let her stay in denial too long. "[As Elena is back] in Mystic Falls trying to pick up the pieces and get on with her life, it's the kind of thing that her friends and
her loved ones are going to [point out]," Plec says. "We're going to have some fun with that."

E! Gossip Girl Season 5 Premiere Redux:
OMFG.
That’s all there really is to say after Gossip Girl’s season-five premiere, where we had not one, but two pregnancies. Yes, that’s right. The CW show, which tends to have most of its big reveals spoiled, shocked fans by having two of our Upper East Siders reveal they are with child.
Aside from pregnancy announcements, G.G. did what it does best:provide us with a fun, seductive escape. With half of the gang in sunny California schmoozing with celebs (or pretending to be them) and hanging out on Versace’s yacht, this premiere was something that we felt the show lacked a little last season: straight-up fun.

WHAT WE LEARNED:
First Comes Baby in a Baby Carriage: After weeks of speculation, it was revealed that Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski) and Blair (Leighton Meester) are pregnant. Man, that it going to be one hormonal penthouse! While there was some confusion as to
whether or not Dorota was covering for Blair, executive producer Josh Safran confirms that everyone’s favorite housekeeper is “actually pregnant.” The father of Dorota’s child is obviously no mystery (what up, Vanya?!), but the identity of Blair’s baby daddy has yet to be revealed. It’s either Prince Louis (Hugo Becker) or Chuck (Ed Westwick), and Safran says, “The audience will learn who the father is in the first half of the season.” Either way, he also teases that, “Blair’s pregnancy will definitely impact Chuck in a major way.”
What the Chuck Is Chuck Up To?! It appears someone has decided the best way to forget about Blair’s upcoming wedding is to go into daredevil mode. Chuck is clearly hiding his emotions behind his motorcycle helmet and trying anything and everything to feel anything at all, even if it puts his life in danger. While some of his exploits made us giggle (example: his short-lived career as a stuntman), they did inspire some awesome one-liners from Mr. Bass. “Even though it looks like he’s a thrill-seeker here, that opens
the door to a new avenue for him, a new way of life, which isn’t what you’ve seen yet,” Safran teases. “I think it is the only possible next step in the evolution of Chuck.”
Blair Almost Dares to Dair: Blair was this close to running off to the Hamptons with Dan after thinking Louis would never choose her over his mother…and Dan was more than OK with that. (Don’t lie, Dan and Blair fans. We know your hearts swelled when she pleaded, “Take me there.”) When Louis showed up at the loft and confessed that he was helping Dan, Blair demanded to know why Dan was about to let her call off her engagement. Dan opted for silence rather than “three words, eight letters.” Yes, Dan is in love with Blair, which will please Dair-lovers to no end and probably cause Chair fans to send angry tweets to the G.G. writers. (“Three words, eight letters” is what Blair demanded of Chuck in the season two premiere. He also wasn’t able to say it.)
The Three Musketeers Invade Los Angeles: OK, how much fun was it watching Chuck, Nate (Chace Crawford) and Serena (Blake Lively) live it up together on the opposite coast? While Chuck has turned into a bit of a thrillseeker (“I’ll try anything once”), Nate was busy doin’ his thang (which is attracting cougars, obvi!) with Elizabeth Hurley’s mysterious character
Diana Payne, and Serena was excelling at her job as a production assistant. Our little girl is growing up, y’all!
This being Gossip Girl and all, crazy hijinks ensued in the form of a jealous coworker, Marshall, played by WWK favorite Ethan Peck. Yes, the show attempted to ruin Mr. Peck for us by making him a world-class jerk, but we understood his motives by episode’s end. Sometimes it sucks to see the pretty new girl who hasn’t worked for anything in her life walk in and take what you worked your whole life to earn. Woah, G.G. just went all middle-class woes on us. We think we need to sit down for a minute.
WHAT LIES AHEAD:
Secrets, Secrets Are No Fun… So how will Blair deal with the pregnancy? “Blair will try to hold on as best as she can alone and find that is not possible,” Safran reveals. The show will handle the pregnancy realistically…or as least as realistically as a soap can. “All of the discussions and what it means and what your options are and what you can do, all of that stuff is definitely very much in the mix,” Safran teases. “But I also believe Blair is engaged to be married and princesses are quite young…It isn’t out of the realm of possibility to be pregnant. It’s just a question of the complications that come with it.”
Growing Pains: The theme of this season according to Safran is “growing up,” with all of the characters “actually taking the first steps to who they actually are going to be.” Fans who’ve felt that Nate has been without a storyline the past few seasons can rest assured that their boy will be in the eye of the storm in season five. ‘His journey really relates the most to growing up and taking control of his life,” Safran explains, adding that “he gets to have scenes with everybody” due to his entanglement with Diana Payne.
Dan vs. the Upper East Side? Fans can expect Dan’s tell-all novel about the UES to cause major drama for Lonely Boy throughout the season. “Everyone does have a reaction to it and it’s not necessarily the reaction that Dan expects them to have, but it’s also not the reaction that they expect to have.”
When asked if Dan will be dating around (though we don’t think he has many relatives left to woo) or pining for Blair, Safran says, “Maybe neither, but he definitely has feelings for Blair.” Hey, we’ll take what we can get! The majority of Dan’s storyline this season will center on the book, so “if the pining is an undercurrent or comes to the surface,” it’s still not the majority of his storyline. Sorry, Dair fans. Looks like you’re in it for the long haul!
In the episode, Rufus chalks up the ending to one of Dan’s chapters about Blair to “creative license,” which begs the question: Is it something fans have already seen on-screen (like a certain kiss?) or maybe something we’ll find out about later? “Maybe both,” Safran answers cryptically. “That’s really the right answer, which is weird.”
Love Triangle…or Love Square? Though Dan clearly has feelings for Blair, don’t expect the Pauper to be a major part of this romantic…shape. “I don’t know if it’s necessarily romantic with Dan and Blair, but the triangle in our minds is Chuck and Louis and Blair,” Safran says. "Dan’s role in it is sort of surprising and I think that he will both add to the Chair shippers and both detract for the Chair shippers, alternately.” While we’re totally fine with that, we just wish Louis wasn’t so meh. Like yeah, he’s nice and nice to look at, but there’s nothing there.
That’s all there really is to say after Gossip Girl’s season-five premiere, where we had not one, but two pregnancies. Yes, that’s right. The CW show, which tends to have most of its big reveals spoiled, shocked fans by having two of our Upper East Siders reveal they are with child.

Gossip Girl Boss Dishes on [Spoiler Alert]'s Surprise Pregnancy
by Vlada Gelman
Somebody’s going to need a bigger dress.
After pulling a bait-and-switch, letting us believe that Dorota was the owner of last season’s positive pregnancy test, Monday night’s Gossip Girl closed with a big and potentially game-changing revelation: Both Dorota and Blair are expecting!
The Queen of the Upper East Side — and future princess — is preggers just as she’s in the midst of planning a royal wedding. It’s a secret that will cause quite the dilemma for Blair, and not just in terms of how she’ll fit into her wedding dress. Executive producer Josh Safran explains that the series will delve into all the options that a young woman in Blair’s situation might consider – and the emotional turmoil and potential pitfalls that come with having those internal debates.
Although Blair’s been able to fool everyone so far (except for one sharp-eyed seamstress), it won’t be long before she finds it too difficult to hide the pregnancy and wade through her options by herself, says Safran.
And she won’t be the only one dealing with the consequences. “Blair’s pregnancy will definitely impact Chuck in a major way,” explains Safran, who also teases that Mr. Bass’s journey in Season 5 “is the only possible next step in the evolution” of the character. Could that next step be fatherhood? Safran won’t reveal if Chuck and Blair’s post-bar mitzvah rendezvous was the moment of
conception, but teases that “the audience will learn who the father is in the first half of the season.”
So why make Blair pregnant at all? Safran points out that “it isn’t out of the realm of possibility” for a young, would-be princess to find herself with child.
Just like the pregnancy, Blair’s fertile story arc wasn’t exactly planned. “We thought about [the storyline], but we didn’t go three years ago, ‘She’s going to get pregnant at the end of Season 4!’” says Safran. Yet at the same time, he adds, “it felt right to us when we [wrote it because this] is how Blair’s experiencing it, in that it was not something so thought out.”

Gossip Girl Preview - Dan's Blair's Crush, Nate's Control Issues & Chuck's Dangerous Detour
When Gossip Girl opens its fifth season Monday, our favorite Upper East Siders will be all over the map — literally and figuratively. Serena’s working hard in Hollywood, while a broken-hearted Chuck is channeling his inner daredevil. Back in New York, Dan’s Hamptons reverie is interrupted by the publication of a certain book, while Blair is busy planning her royal wedding. Oh, and yes, someone is definitely preggers.TVLine got a sneak peek at the Season 5 premiere earlier this week and then pumped executive producer Josh Safran for insight into the action-packed opener and what lies ahead.
Gossip Girl Promo: Save the Date for a Sun-Soaked, Cougar-Filled Trip to Hollywood
OF BOOKS AND BLAIR |
Dan and Blair haven’t been in touch over the summer, but that doesn’t mean what happened last season has been forgotten. A meaningful scene between the two in the loft makes it perfectly clear that “he definitely has feelings for Blair,” notes Safran. “I don’t know if it’s really romantic with Dan and Blair… The triangle, in our minds, is Chuck, Louie and Blair.” That’s not to say Dan doesn’t figure into things. “Dan’s role in it is surprising,” continues Safran. “He will both add to the Chair shippers and detract for the Chair shippers, alternately.” While his “pining is an undercurrent,” the big storyline for Dan will be the release of his book, a Blair-centric chapter of which is set to be published in Vanity Fair in the premiere. “Everyone does have a reaction, and it’s not necessarily the reaction that Dan expects them to have,” teases Safran. “But it’s also not the reaction that they expect to have.” Could one relationship suffer in the aftermath of the book’s release? After all, according to the EP, Dan and Nate’s “friendship is going to have some complications thrown into it very soon.”
THE RETURN OF GOSSIP GIRL |
The show’s titular blogger is front and center in the new season. “Gossip Girl is very much a regular this year, almost as much as she was in Season 1,” says Safran, who wouldn’t say if the character’s increased role will lead to her unmasking. One thing is certain: She will face some stiff new competition. “Maybe there’s someone else who’s going to use technology in a way that will threaten her,” teases Safran. Hmm, sounds like some Payne is in store — Diana Payne (a.k.a. the sharp businesswoman played by Elizabeth Hurley.) Speaking of which…
MASTER PLAN |
Hurley’s character will quickly set her sights on Nate and weave him – and by extension, everyone else – into her nefarious plan. But unlike the mysterious Juliet, Diana’s agenda is clear. “She’s very honest about it,” explains Safran. “Even though she may move the chess pieces around to get what she wants, she says up-top, ‘This is what I want.’ So if people don’t comply, she’ll just move them and get what she wants.”
Connor Paolo Confirms Gossip Exit: ‘I’m Done’
JUST SAY YES |
Chuck’s new thrill-seeker lifestyle will actually open “the door to a new avenue for him,” teases Safran. So what can we expect from the man who’s seen everything and done everyone? “It is the only possible next step in the evolution of Chuck,” is all Safran would reveal.
JUST FRIENDS |
Sorry, Nate and Serena shippers, but the exes will remain “very good friends” in the near term. “We don’t have plans to revisit that [relationship] right now,” says Safran. Instead, the two will have plenty going on in their lives outside of romance. Serena finds a mentor in a female producer (guest star Michael Michele) and starts “taking stock of what her skills are and how to use them.” Nate,
meanwhile, realizes he’s lost and doesn’t know who he is. “He’s got almost the biggest story of the bunch,” reveals Safran. “His journey really relates the most to growing up and taking control of his life.”
THE BIG 100 |
Safran offers this vague but tantalizing hint about the show’s “awesome” 100th episode later this season: "We’ve been watching the pilot a lot.”

Gossip Girl - An Extra Speaks!
Hollywoodlife.com - GG Season 5!
We went to a ‘Gossip Girl’ screening of the season premiere today and can we just say — wow! Josh Safran sat down and answered multiple questions about the upcoming season. Read on for spoilers! Many of you are dying to know secrets about the upcoming Gossip Girl season premiere, particularly anything involving one Miss Blair Waldorf and her feelings toward her fiance, Chuck Bass and Dan Humphrey. And while we can’t give everything away we can tell you that she doesn’t have any scenes at all with one of these characters in the premiere.
Sorry Chair fans, those of you looking for some Blair and Chuck interactions will have to wait a little bit. While Chuck is forced to face Blair’s impending wedding when he comes back from his worldly travels, the two don’t interact in the premiere. She does however, have quite the conversations with both Prince Louis and Dan. Just because she’s not interacting with Chuck doesn’t mean we don’t get to see feisty Blair in full force.
That being said, will she continue with her plans to wed Louis? Executive producer Josh Safran says yes. “You will see all steps up to, at least, if not including, Blair’s wedding,” he teases.
And what about Chuck? Josh explains that the theme of this season, for everyone, is “growing up”. “They are all actually taking the first steps to who they are going to be,” says Josh. “Chuck’s journey, even though it looks like he’s a thrill-seeker [in the premiere], that opens the door to a new avenue for him, a new way of life, which isn’t what you’ve seen yet. But I think people will really like it. I think it’s the only actual step in the evolution of Chuck.”
Hmm, does that mean grown up Chuck wouldn’t get in the way of Blair’s wedding? And how does Dan play into all of this? “The triangle in our minds is sort of Chuck and Louis and Blair,” reveals Josh. “Dan’s role in it is sort of surprising … I don’t know if it’s necessarily romantic with Dan and Blair.”
And for those die-hard fans who are worried that Chuck, Blair, Dan, Nate and Serena will not be getting enough screen time with each other, do not stress. “We have our core cast more together than they have been since season one,” explains Josh. “We only have like five or six people [in some episodes]. You see all of them [the regulars] in every episode.”
As for the pregnancy question all we can reveal is you do know which gal is pregnant by the end of the premiere. And everything may not pan out in the way you, ahem, expect.

Gossip Girl Season 5 Premiere - Everything to Gossip About!
Gossip Girl, Jenny Humphrey, Nate Archibald, Season 5, Serena van der Woodsen, Spoilers | URL: http://wp.me/pEqwD-1nj
If we had to describe the season five premiere of Gossip Girl in one word, that word would be: fun.
Seriously, Gossip Girl's season opener, airing on Monday, Sept. 26, is just a whole lot of fun. That's not to say there isn't any delicious drama accompanying all the fun. Come on now, this is GG. You should know better.
So how is Chuck (Ed Westwick) dealing with Blair's (Leighton Meester) engagement? What's going on between Dan (Penn Badgley) and Blair? And who the heck is pregnant?!
To make this easier, let's tease the premiere character-by-character, shall we?
Blair: Our favorite Audrey Hepburn worshipper returns from Monaco with Prince Louis (Hugo Becker) full of love…and complaints. You see, Louis' mother is making all of the wedding decisions, including (gasp!) the dress that Blair will wear. Blair
may or may not begin to rethink her engagement when Louis refuses to stand up to his mother. Her (possible) cold feet lead us to…
Dan: Slow ya roll, Chair fans. It's not like that. Dan—who took up softball during the summer (in a league for writers and artists!) and looks adorable in his team's shirt—is Blair's only friend currently in the city and she desperately needs someone to talk to. As a friend.
Lonely Boy is more than happy to offer his assistance considering he's still harboring major feelings for Blair and all. Our evidence? Vanity Fair is attempting to publish a chapter from Dan's novel Inside, which is all about Blair and he desperately tries to stop it from being printed and turns to an unexpected source for some help. Does he succeed? We're not saying, but we will say Dan and Blair have a heartfelt and serious (their banter is MIA) scene in the loft that will make Dair lovers very, very happy for a moment or two.
Chuck: Prepare for Chuck like you've never seen him before: Truly happy! OK, we've seen him happy before, but this is a different kind of happy: it's dangerous. It seems Chuck took Jim Carrey's Yes Man a little too much to heart because that's his new favorite word: Yes. As in he's down to try anything at least once, even if it puts his life in danger. At least he does it all with style and one-liners. (Here's our favorite: "People like me don't write books. They're written about.")
While Chuck and Blair don't come face-to-face in the episode (He is in L.A. being a daredevil and all), he definitely still feels her presence when an envelope containing a certain invite arrives.
Nate: Attention! Nate Archibald finally has a storyline! Whee! We had a blast watching Nate run around L.A., pretending to be a movie star and hooking up with Elizabeth Hurley (who is awesome and gorgeous and scheming and we love it!) and it's all thanks to Chace's underrated comedy skills. We're glad the show is finally highlighting the goofy side of Nate.
That being said, Nate has an epiphany of sorts in the episode: He's kind of lost. (Better late than never, Natey!) Where that takes him should be really interesting to watch this season.
Serena: S is a working girl, y'all! She's got a job as a production assistant on a film with David O. Russell and is in some fierce job competition with a - drum roll, please - 10 Things I Hate About You's Ethan Peck! Yes, Ethan is in the premiere and he's kind of a jerk. Sad panda.
One of the episode's highlights includes all the Chuck, Nate and Serena interaction, which had kind of a season-one vibe. The Non-Judging Breakfast Club (minus Blair at the moment) lives on! We totally wanted in on their group hug.
Not enough Gossip goodies for you? Here's a few other tidbits we can tease:
It's revealed what Jenny (Taylor Momsen) is up to pretty early in the episode. (She's not in Hudson anymore.)
What are the parentals up to? Rufus (Matthew Settle) is definitely becoming suspicious of Dan's feelings for Blair, while Lily
(Kelly Rutherford) is still redecorating (off-screen).
Remember the term "Three words, eight letters" from season two? Of course you do. It's brought back in the premiere and has nothing to do with Chuck and Blair.
And finally, yes, someone is in fact pregnant. Yes, it's shocking. Yes, the reveal comes near the end of the episode. Yes, we will be in deep trouble if we say anything else on the subject.

Gossip Girl - More Season 5 News!
Gossip Girl ended season four with more questions than an LSAT prep manual -- Is Serena California material? What happened with Dan's manuscript? Will Chuck contract herpes? Can Nate get a storyline this season? Which member of the Waldorf penthouse is with child? Well, I'm freshly back from a screening of the season five premiere, and happy to report that all of these questions get answered.
And while I'm sworn to secrecy about which Gossip girl is expecting, I can confirm that you'll find out during the first episode back, on September 26. As for who the father is, executive producer Joshua Safran swears the paternity identity will be revealed during the first half of the new year. A season that is all about our core kids finally growing up.
And while there were oodles of spoilers about Nate's relationship with Elizabeth Hurley's character and Chuck's new life motto (it involves a lot of "yes!!!!!!"), I couldn't let an opportunity to grill a GG EP about the seemingly cast aside, but totally amazing, pairing of Dan and Blair. On that front, I've got good news and bad news.
The good: Dan's feelings for Blair play a major role in the premiere.
The bad ... well, I'll let Joshua take this one. "The triangle in our minds is sort of Chuck and Louis and Blair," he said
this afternoon, following the screening. "Dan's role in it is sort of surprising and I think he will both add to the Dair-shippers and detract for the Dair-shippers, alternately." Then to basically eliminate any confusion, he added, "I don’t know if it’s necessarily romantic with Dan and Blair."
However, that doesn't mean Dan will be short on story this season. In fact, Lonely Boy is fueling one of season five's biggest storylines as the release of his book sends shockwaves through the Upper East Side. "The book impacts everybody from his friends to his family, to his life basically. Everyone [has] a reaction. It's not necessarily the reaction that Dan expects them to have but its also
not the reaction they expect to have."
Content-wise, the book is a not-so-thinly-veiled portrait of life as an Upper East Side outsider that Dan has been working on for quite a while. "He’s been writing since he saw [Serena] at a party in ninth grade," Safran says. "He started writing about her from that point forward, so six years."
Sadly, the GG team is so busy cracking episodes they don't have time to actually reproduce Dan's book in its entirety, but they're toying with the idea of putting some excerpts online. So keep those eyes peeled!

Gossip Girl - Dair News
New spoiler: Do you have an scoopage on my favorite Gossip Girl storyline DAIR?
Nova Ausiello: I’m hearing rumblings about a second kiss early in the season, but I don’t know when it occurs or what the context is. But does it really matter? A kiss is still a kiss.

A little Chuck & Blair lovin' from the Season 5 premiere...
OH YES. MAKES. MY.LIFE. CB FTW! Nothing I love more than Chuck unable to get Blair out of his head. ;)
yaaaay! *party dance*
Gossip Girl - Fictionally Gay Character?
Chuck (Ed Westwick) kissed a boy before…and he didn’t mind it. (Good times, season three! Good times!) With Blair (Leighton Meester) off planning her wedding to Prince Louis (Hugo Becker), could Gossip Girl‘s resident bad boy become a little curious this season? Or maybe Serena (Blake Lively) has decided to experiment while living it up in Los Angeles?
We’ve exclusively learned that one of Gossip Girl‘s main characters (they’re in the picture above!) is going gay in season five and trust us, it’s good. So who is it and how does it happen?
OK, so maybe the headline is kind of misleading, but still, one of our favorite Upper East Siders will be fictionally switching teams. Yes, that’s right. It seems like Dan (Penn Badgley) took some major creative liberties with his subjects in “Inside,” his book about the UES—which Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) published without his knowledge—and made someone gay! We’re going to assume fans of the original book series by Cecily von Ziegesar are thrilled by Dan’s decision, as Lonely Boy was sexually confused for a few pages and Chuck was in fact gay. GG is going meta and we love it!
Could it be his ex-girlfriend/stepsister Serena? Or maybe his BFF (Bromantic Friend Forever!) Nate (Chace Crawford)? And we wouldn’t put it past Dan to change Chuck’s (or is his name Charlie Trout in the novel?) sexual orientation, so he could end up with a certain brunette all to himself. Then again, Dan easily could have made his own character gay… or even Blair’s!
So who is it? We’re not telling… yet. But we want to hear from you. Whose sexual orientation do you think Dan changes in the name of art? Vote in our poll and then head on over to the comments to get your speculation on. You know you want to. XOXO, the TV Gossip Girls.

Kristin's EOnline Chat - Elizabeth Hurley Guest Star
RGGfan: What’s up with Elizabeth Hurley on Gossip Girl? Is she evil?
I think so. I’m hearing E.H.’s character will be using peeps we know to try to compete with Gossip Girl herself. And anyone who messes with Kristen Bell must be the very spawn of Beelzebub, right?
Vampire Diaries - Season 3 Preview with Julie Plec
TVLINE | In the past, you’ve divided the seasons into chapters. What’s the first chapter of Season 3?
The first chapter of Season 3 is really being driven by, Where’s Stefan? Is he OK? Is he keeping his humanity together? Can he be rescued from Klaus? Does he want to be rescued from Klaus? And ultimately, Stefan and Klaus’ journey as road partners, so to speak, as they set out on Klaus’ goal to create more hybrids like himself. That’s a lot of what’s going on with our heroes. But in the backdrop of that, of course, is the ghost story that ultimately finds its way into the Klaus story and everything starts to intersect. By the end of the first chapter, we understand how all of this connects and where we’re heading into the next portion of the season.
TVLINE | How “ugly” does Stefan get? And by ugly, I don’t mean physically.
Stefan is going on a journey that is not short, and it’s not going to be pretty. I don’t want to say definitively how dark he gets because it’s all part of an ongoing season-long journey of who he is when he is being controlled by his own blood lust and by his true nature as a vampire. [It's about] peeling back the layers on Stefan and trying to get inside of who he is and how he operates. Also, does he have any humanity? And if so, is there anyone that can help him latch onto it to make sure that he doesn’t completely fall over the edge?
Vampire Diaries Preview: Get Ready for a Scary-Fun ‘Ripper Stefan’ Roadshow
TVLINE | How does Elena handle seeing this new side of him?
A lot of Elena’s journey is, “OK, I’m a grown up. I can handle it. We’ve been through this before. We’ve seen it. I’ve seen him at his worst.” A lot of her journey is recognizing that maybe what she’s seen is just one piece of a very painful and complicated character puzzle.
TVLINE | How is the kiss between Elena and Damon in the season finale going to affect things between them, especially now that Stefan is not around as much?
Damon and Elena have an interesting dynamic in that they finally come to terms with each other at a level of mutual appreciation. And as that was happening, Stefan was off sacrificing himself over to the dark side, basically making a Faustian deal in order to save Damon’s life. So there’s a big elephant in the room [because] of the awkwardness of that. It goes largely unspoken, but it’s always there. Both of them are equally committed to saving Stefan because Stefan sacrificed himself for them. But along the way, they are thrown into a lot of different circumstances where they work together, they’re very close, [and] they’re getting closer. It’s a complicated relationship that they have. There’s a lot of tension there. There’s a lot of sexuality that lies under the surface. There’s a
closeness between Elena and Damon that she might try to ignore and fight, but it’s obvious to everyone around them. We’re going to start to see, as we get into the season, how other people in our world see Damon and Elena’s friendship and relationship, and what they think about it.
Vampire Diaries Boss: Season 3 Is ‘A Defining Moment’ for Damon and Elena
TVLINE | It seems like Alaric might have something to say about it.
Alaric is unimpressed, I’ll tell you that. [Laughs] He is not impressed, and he’s not particularly interested in keeping quiet about it either.
TVLINE | So is his bromance with Damon on the outs then?
There’s definitely some tension in the Alaric/Damon bromance. There’s not an easy band-aid to it. These guys have a great connection as inexplicable unlikely friends, and it’s so fun to see them getting along. But Alaric’s a man who’s been tasked with keeping an eye out for this young woman, and he’s not going to stand by without saying something if he feels like something inappropriate is going on.
TVLINE | Is Damon still carrying on with Andie Star?
Damon is definitely not being completely celibate over our summer break. [Laughs] Damon’s been getting some.
New Vampire Diaries Promo: Temptation! Hair-Pulling! Oh, and Cake!
TVLINE | Speaking of temptations… How tempted will Stefan by this new girl that you’re introducing
from his past, Bex?
She represents a part of his life when he was in one of his darkest places, but also one of his most fun places when Ripper Stefan was in full effect. So if anything, she’s a mirror for him, a reminder of how sometimes being bad wasn’t so bad at all.
TVLINE | How much are we going to be seeing of Elijah and the other Originals this season? Please tell me that stake’s coming out soon.
[Laughs] I’ve said aloud that Elijah as played by Daniel Gillies has firmly embedded himself into the canon of this series, but I
am not going to tell you when he comes back.
TVLINE | Can you say whether we’re going to see other members of their family?
I can say that exploring the origin tale of the Originals – that’s a mouthful – is very much a part of our plan beginning at our close of
the first chapter. We do very much want to dive into that world of what life was like a 1,000 years ago before vampires existed.
TVLINE | You have Klaus out to build this hybrid race, but meanwhile, there’s this vampire and this werewolf in Caroline and Tyler, who are getting very close. Do they factor at all into Klaus’ mission?
Well, we shall see.
Hot New Vampire Diaries Video: Tyler/Caroline Rival Damon/Elena for Sexiest Duo
TVLINE | Between Jack Coleman and Sebastian Roche coming on, there are a lot of new adults on the show. Is the Founders Council going to be playing a bigger role in the new season?
Yeah. The Founders Council, in their own sad, tragic, ineffective way, is still very much a part of our world. Between Caroline and Tyler’s relationship and what Mayor Lockwood and Sheriff Forbes have to say about it and then, ultimately, with the returning element of a member of the town coming in [via] Jack Coleman… Even Alaric’s saying, “Well, hang on a second. Who’s the advocate over here for the not supernatural people?” Alaric’s role is to kick the council in the ass a little bit and say, “You guys are falling asleep on the watch and somebody needs to stand in here and make sure that the humans are protected in this town.”
TVLINE | Kevin [Williamson] said at TCA that the Matt/Caroline/ Tyler triangle would play out alongside Damon/Elena/Stefan. But last we saw, Matt broke up with Caroline and seemed like he wanted to create some distance from all this supernatural stuff. Does he have a change of heart about Caroline then?
Not in the first chapter, no. He’s really got his hands full with the ghost of his dead sister returning to town.

Question: Do you have any idea if Katherine will be returning to Vampire Diaries? —Kris
Ausiello: The question isn’t if Elena’s doppelganger will be back, it’s when. “We’re not going to see Katherine right away,” says VD EP Julie Plec. “But when she does show up, she’s not going to show up empty-handed. She’s going to show up with some pretty valuable information.”
Question: Desperate Vampire Diaries fan here! Can I have some “Forwood” scoop, please? —Jo
Ausiello: Elaborating on her Comic-Con tease that Caroline and Tyler would remain in an awkward friends zone
in Season 3, Plec says, “The thing about the friends zone is, when there’s that much animalistic sexual tension that exists between two people, eventually the friends zone is going to have a mattress involved. I think we can safely say that sooner or later, Caroline and Tyler aren’t going to be able to avoid the fireworks that very clearly have been simmering between them all summer long.”
Now that is a woman who knows how to craft a good sound bite. Well done, Plec. Well. Done.

Desiree: I'd give ANYTHING for something on Dan and Blair on Gossip Girl. Please, give me some good news on them!
I just heard about something in episode four that literally made me gasp, then squeal, then blurt out, "Are you freaking serious?!" Turns out, the scandalous scene I'm talking about is not exactly what it seems, but I highly recommend you Chuck-Blair fans and Dan-Blair fans wear an adult diaper just in case. Consider yourself warned.
mockingbird2424: Do you have any #gossipgirl Chuck and Blair news?
Chuck is gonna have a hard time feeling anything this year.
Jazy736: Hit me with some Serena news please! #GossipGirl
She'll be working for a production company that wants to get the rights to a certain book written by a certain someone she knows very well. Hint: It's not Snooki.

Vampire Diaries Spoilers Season 3
Season three opens the door to learn more about Klaus and The Original Family as his motives for wanting Stefan on his side are finally revealed. As Stefan sinks deeper into the dark side, Damon and Elena struggle with the guilt of their growing bond even as they work together to bring Stefan back from the edge. The ghosts from Jeremy’s past have a powerful message they’re trying to deliver to him, not to mention the impact they’re having on his relationship with Bonnie. And as Caroline and Tyler grow closer, a war erupts between their families.
On Stefan:”He just goes crazy this season. But it’s an incremental change. It’s not just The Ripper — it’s a whole arc and we go through every single beat of it. It changes all along the way. The fun of this season will be watching Stefan go through this intense and bloody journey. Very bloody.”
On Matt: “Matt is one of the first people to find out that Vicki is back,” Williamson says of Jeremy’s ex-girlfriend haunting teased in the closing moments of season two. “We’ve had this idea for a long time, but could never figure out how it fit into our universe. But once we latched onto how to bring Vicki & Anna back in a way that makes sense, it felt so logical. And when the show finally gets to the bottom of it (around October), you’ll just love it.”
On Katherine: “If Katherine appears, and how she appears, remains to be seen.”
It’s also being stated that Caroline will have another great story line this season. I really liked that they included her in the whole changing into a vampire part. She’s a great actress.

Interview with Joshua Safran on early Season 5 of Gossip Girl
Gossip Girl‘s executive producer Joshua Safran got together with TVLine to discuss the upcoming mysteries of season 5, and there was something exciting for everyone… Except poor Nate Archibald.
First things first, the story that’s got everyone talking is that of Blair and the many men in her life. Safran assured warring fans that they could all sit tight for now because the wedding to adorable French prince Louis was still moving forward. As for the other two boys vying for her affections? Safran says that Dan’s feelings for Blair were very consciously included in the season 4 finale, but that doesn’t mean Chuck and Blair are done, either:
“We have not abandoned Chuck and Blair by any stretch of the imagination,”he adds. “But that doesn’t mean it’s always going to be Chair or Dair or Lair or whatever nickname people want to give that.”
Dan’s role in the love dodecahedron that is Blair’s life will be affected in some manner by his book being published, but we are unsure exactly how. All we know is that Dan is going to be launched headfirst into a world that he’s never fully experienced before:
“His maturation process is going to be sped up, because this is not a decision that he made for himself,” explains Safran. “When that happens…it is very much like a bullet from a gun that somebody else fired.”
On the other hand, Serena - everyone’s favorite flighty blonde – has finally grounded herself in some kind of reality. Turns out Los Angeles has the career and goals she needed to find herself. But how long will that last?
“She has taken the job that was offered to her at the end of last season, and we see just exactly how that has panned out for her,” teases Safran, adding that “Serena’s goals come very clearly into focus.
As for Nate? Well, we don’t know anything about him or what great story lines the writers might have in store for him, but we do know that Diana Payne (his love interest, played by Elizabeth Hurley) is a businesswoman who “sees the potential in an untapped market of these young twentysomethings that she believes could be exploited better.”
What is her plan to exploit that market, and in what way does it involve banging Nate? We don’t know yet, but we sure hope that after being used as a sex object by everyone from parents to married duchesses to ex-girlfriends, Nate will finally be able to overcome the label of “whore” this season.

Gossip Girl Season 5 (longer) synopsis
Spotted: Our favorite Upper East Siders scattered around the world for one sizzling summer. If you think Manhattan had enough secrets and scandals to keep me busy, just wait until you see the souvenirs our sexy socialites have brought back home with them. Looks like gossip is global as "Gossip Girl" returns for its hotly anticipated fifth season!
Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) has spent a fabulous summer with her fiancé, Prince Louis (guest star Hugo Becker), in her future kingdom of Monaco. But when Blair returns home from the holiday, this Princess-to-be will quickly learn that planning a royal wedding can be a royal pain. And the fallout from Blair and Chuck's (Ed Westwick) heartbreaking decision to let each other go isn't making life easier.
Meanwhile, Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) scored the perfect summer job in sunny Los Angeles, working for an A-list director. Being in California has clearly allowed Serena to discover a new sense of purpose, but will the return of her cousin Charlie (Kaylee DeFer), in actuality a struggling actress Aunt Carol paid to impersonate her daughter, threaten to ruin everything? Only time will tell.
Chuck Bass and Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) enjoyed a hedonistic summer trip around the globe but, when they stop in Los Angeles to visit Serena, things quickly spin out of control. Nate falls into bed with a sexy and
mysterious older woman, Diana Payne (guest star Elizabeth Hurley), who has more in store for him than he knows. And a seemingly carefree Chuck is chasing down exotic adrenaline rushes that might put his life in real danger.
After a relaxing summer in the Hamptons, Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), has his whole world shattered when he discovers that Vanessa has gone behind his back and found an editor to anonymously publish his autobiographical novel, INSIDE. Dan's terrified of all his friends and family reading his critique of New York high society, but will he say no to the fame and fortune that comes with being a published author? It's anybody's guess.
So watch out Upper East Siders, this season nobody's safe, and everybody's going to be sorry….XOXO Gossip Girl.

Latest from Kristin - Chuck's New Love Interest?
Rebecca: What can you tell us about Dan and Blair? Or Chuck and Blair? Is there any hope for either?
Not hearing of anything the works for Dan and Blair, and it quite honestly pains me to tell you that! But Chuck and Blair fans, there is some good news for you. Aside from what I've mentioned about Blair's feelings for Chuck being quite the issue with her fiance prince, I can also tell you that despite the photo above, which looks like a meet cute between the Chuckster and a new love interest, a source tells me this little gem of good news: Chuck does not have any sort of new love interest in the works. At least not early on in the season. Cause to celebrate, mayhaps? - source: eonline.com
Leighton Meester: Beauty Queen
Leighton Meester is very pretty, but there’s something else happening when you
look at her. She has apple cheeks, a moon-sliver smile, and deep liquid eyes
that seem to have been poured straight into her skull with a baby-doll dropper.
When the Grimm Brothers wrote of Snow White’s forest-bound beauty, they’d
probably just seen Leighton’s ancestral twin.
Fun facts about Leighton Meester: Her middle name is Marissa. She modeled
for Sofia Coppola when the director was an aspiring fashion photographer. She
invited her real friends to play her “fake” friends on the Cobra Starship video,
Good Girls Go Bad. She is not afraid of neon. She is the new(ish) face of
Lovestruck, the latest perfume by Vera Wang.
It’s this last bit that brings us together with our two-time cover girl
again. We sat with the 25-year-old on a couch at Manhattan’s James Hotel and
got the scoop of Leighton’s latest adventures.
When did you first meet Vera Wang? I met her at a fashion show last Fashion Week, almost a year ago. It was a big Vogue thing for Fashion’s Night Out… All the designers were showing a bunch of their stuff, and it was outside; they had a huge performance and it was very fun. I saw Vera from across the way, and she was gesturing to me, “I wanna talk to you!” I was like, “What?! Me?!” And then two days later, I got a call about Lovestruck and of course I was very excited. It’s wonderful.
How did you feel the first time you smelled the perfume? I was really happy, because I was dying to work with Vera, and obviously I was very happy that it’s a beautiful scent. Like, “Thank goodness!” But I really think the thing that was most amazing for me was the idea behind [Lovestruck] and the whole Romeo and Juliet story that was the concept for the shoot. And then Vera herself, who’s just the most amazing woman…
Tonight, Vera told us that Lovestruck wasn’t always about loving the right guy. Then she told us to party on. She’s kind of funny. Oh, just kind of?! Vera Wang hilarious. She’s hilarious and she is very down to earth, and she’s just lovely.
You shot this campaign in the dead of winter, in a strapless dress. And you don’t look like you’re going to die – not even in the paparazzi outtakes. How?! It was a mixture of excitement, and maybe a bit of denial. And mostly it was just that everyone was so kind, and I was just up in my on little world. I was up on a balcony pretty much all by myself the whole day, so it was very peaceful up there. And they were blasting heaters at me and bringing me hot tea constantly. I was jumping around so it really wasn’t bad. But actually, when I looked down, everyone was in parkas, so they were obviously freezing. Maybe because I was higher up it was less cold up there? Or maybe I’m just, yeah… I was in denial. That’s all.
That dress was Vera Wang couture. Did you keep it? No, but that’s okay. I got to wear it all day, and there are so many photos, so it’s done; I’ve worn it all the way!
What beauty tips have you learned from the Gossip Girl set? Well I get my hair and make-up done pretty much everyday, so I definitely have paid attention! I think the best tips are more about skincare and, sort of, skin health- taking off all your make up, being meticulous about that. I think being healthy on the inside is a big part of it. As far as actual make-up, my philosophy is just a little bit goes a long way, and I think that’s good enough for me. My make-up artist is an artist when he does my make-up. I’m definitely not as knowledgeable, by any means. So what I do is minimal, because I can’t pretend I know how to pull complicated beauty looks off on my own.
What’s on your iPod? Oh my gosh, everything! Somebody asked me that the other day; I was like, “you don’t want me to go there.” They started scrolling through my music, got halfway through the “a” songs, and were like, “this is too much.”
What’s new on there? I’ve been getting really in to Led Zeppelin! I know that I’m years late, but I was listening to the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss album, Raising Sand. I was obsessed with it, so my friend was like, “You should really listen to everything by Led Zeppelin.” So now I’m obsessed.
What’s your favorite historical period? God, I love the 1500s in England! I love the time of Henry VIII, the stories behind all his marriages, and how crazy that time was. And sort of that whole era- even though it’s sort of depressing, it’s like Protestant vs Catholic, like that whole thing, but I love it. I also love the Roman times- Ancient Rome- I think that’s really fascinating and very cool. I definitely wouldn’t want to live in any other time but now though. I like running water and that kind of thing!
In your opinion, who is Blair Waldorf’s soul mate? I mean, you have to watch this season because it all gets crazy. She is getting married to the Prince… I mean, she’s planing her marriage, she’s getting married. So she is planning all that, and there is somebody pregnant, so there’s all kinds of drama with that. And of course, Chuck is still in her life, but not in that [romantic] way because she’s engaged. And then there’s Dan and that relationship and what happens with that. I don’t know, there’s all kinds of things happening. I love obviously working with all of [the male actors]. But for Blair… I think Blair deserves a Prince, don’t you?
Totally. The thing about The Prince is he hasn’t really done anything deceitful or betraying to Blair, unlike everyone else in her life…
I think he’s a really good guy. So I like that for her!

Love is in the air for Chuck and Blair?
Christmakkah has come early for fans of Chuck and Blair.
Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick were spotted shooting an oh-so-close scene on the NYC set of Gossip Girl yesterday. A scene in which it appears he is leaning in to kiss her. So correction, "Chair" fans: It's pretty much Chrismakkeasterbirthday.
So does this mean it's off with Prince Louis and Chuck and Blair are getting
back together? Here's what sources tell me: Not so fast.
I'm told Chuck definitely still has feelings for Blair. And Blair definitely
has feelings for Chuck—something that Louis knows and is deeply concerned about.
But even as Ed and Leighton shot this scene, the wedding with Louis was still
very much on, as evidenced by what you can't see in this photo on her left hand:
That big ol' whopping engagement ring to the prince still firmly in place. "She
is still deep in the throes of planning her wedding to Louis," an insider says.
That said, don't expect that the royal wedding will go off without a hitch.
There is most certainly hope for Chuck and Blair. And don't forget what I told you in our latest Spoiler Chat about someone being pregnant. For realz. More importantly, other photos of this scene show that Chuck now has an adorable but mangy little dog. - source: eonline.com

The Spoiler Chat is back and we know what you've been thinking: How on Earth did
I ever live without it?
Well, it looks like Ed Westwick hasn't been dealing well either. We scored this photo taken from the Gossip Girl set in which it is clear that Chuck has been bitten by a werewolf (we've watched enough Teen Wolf and Vampire Diaries to know!). So what's coming up for Chuck? And, more importantly, what's the status of Chuck and his star-crossed lover Blair?
@jazy736 Scoop on Chuck/Blair pls! If this is not possible, anything on Chuck & why he's all bruised up would do. Thanks! You'll be happy to know I'm told that the photo above is nothing of the supernatural nature, thank you very much. Chuck is in "big trouble," but something positive does come out of Chuck's brawl. As for Chuck and Blair, gee, I don't know, does anyone really want to know about those two anymore? Oh, right. Given that there are a gazillion @replies on my Twitter asking for Chuck and Blair (Leighton Meester) info, I'm gonna go with a Yes, you guys tooootally do care! I can tell you that Louis (Hugo Becker) is still very concerned about how Blair feels about Chuck—he will always worry, and that will be a problem—but they are definitely still planning their wedding at the beginning of the new season. Maybe she'll pull a "Rachel" at the altar? Friends fans, please explain to the younger set what pulling a "Rachel" means.
@awkwardhobos: Do you have any spoilers on the pregnancy test that was seen at the end of Gossip Girl?
Someone is definitely pregnant. And it is too juicy to spill. (Sorry! But I personally like my noggin' attached to my neck
because I'm all fancy and high-maintenance like that.) - source: eonline.com
EXCLUSIVE: The CW is looking to beat the midseason rerun blues by supersizing the orders of four returning drama series. The network has picked up two additional episodes each of soaps Gossip Girl and 90210, bringing their orders to 24 episodes, and one additional episode each of veteran Supernatural and sophomore Nikita, which will go up to 23 episodes each. Notably missing is CW's flagship drama The Vampire Diaries. That stems from the show's inability to accommodate additional episodes because of its extensive post-production process that leads to longer production times. (Additionally, co-showrunner Kevin Williamson is also shepherding the new CW series The Secret Circle). This is the second time the CW has expanded the seasons of existing series-- it ordered additional episodes of Gossip Girls and One Tree Hill a couple of years ago -- but it has never done it on such scale, with four series. It is part of new CW president Mark Pedowitz's plan to bring lull periods of reruns during the season to a minimum. He already ordered three series for midseason at the upfronts: reality series Re-Modeled and The Frame and the final season of veteran One Tree Hill. --- source: deadline.com
Ed Interview: "They [Chuck and Blair] got to come together and have little Chuck babies in bow ties."
You don’t always get frisked before an interview. You don’t always get asked
to surrender your phone either.
Then again, you don’t always get to interview Ed Westwick.
The British actor, who plays the scheming but undeniably sexy Chuck Bass on
Gossip Girl, was in Manila this past week, shooting his campaign for clothing
brand Penshoppe.
Penshoppe’s Brand Director Alex Mendoza said, “We were looking for a fresh international face to headline the new and revitalized Penshoppe.”
Gossip Girl fans in Manila clearly approve of the choice. Alex said, “We’re shocked because we released a behind the scenes photo last night of one of our campaign shots and we got 30,000 hits in two hours. Our Twitter followers tripled.”
The campaign hasn’t even been launched but it already seems to be working. As early as now, Ed’s fans have been flooding Penshoppe’s Twitter and Facebook accounts, promising to buy any products he endorses.
“It’s happening so fast, it’s so surreal. It’s a whirlwind for all of us,” says Alex. “Ed has lived up to our expectations and beyond. He is such a natural in front of the camera. The clothes look like they were made for him. Perfect.”
Hours before the private party Penshoppe hosted for Ed at The Peninsula Manila’s Salon De Ning last Thursday, Super sat down with the actor in his presidential suite. Wearing a jacket from Penshoppe’s Trailblazer Mid-Year 2011 Collection, Ed looked fresh and showed no signs of jet lag. Throughout the interview, he was charming and comfortable, delightfully British and funny.
Ed had spent the previous day shooting for Penshoppe’s new campaign and he was excited about it. “We had a really successful shoot yesterday. Everyone was really pleased. Good stuff.”
Alex said, “We’re just hoping that the campaign will make more and more people stop and take notice of Penshoppe—those people who may not have been paying attention the past few years, even people abroad.”
If anyone can do it, the guy who plays Chuck Bass can. – source
How has your trip here been so far? What has been your favorite experience?
Trip’s been great. It’s very hot here, very humid. But I’ve been in the hotel. Yesterday had been a busy day but this morning I was able to get out. We took a boat out around Manila Bay and we got to see the beautiful city skyline. It’s been a little bit of work and a little bit of fun, so perfect combination.
What made you say yes to Penshoppe?
It’s a strong brand that have a great ambition. They’re celebrating their 25th year this year.
They had a nice vision for what they wanted to do with their clothes. They wanted to move it forward and bring a higher level of fashion to it. I’m somebody who’s been very accustomed to that idea especially with Gossip Girl and especially with my own interest in fashion. I kinda felt that the idea fit together. It’s the first time I’ve really been here. It’s a part of the world that I wanted to explore, it’s a culture that I wanted to explore, also to see how fashionable it was here. Everything came together.
You had the shoot for Penshoppe yesterday. Which of the pieces you wore was your favorite?
I wore this bluey kind of green turquoise shirt, this gray cardigan type thing and there was a gray blazer, some cool skinny jeans and some blue desert boots that were really cool. That was my favorite one. And also this jacket. I really like this jacket. It’s really smart.
Is there anything you wouldn’t wear?
Cut-off jean shorts. I don’t really wear them anymore. I wore them once or twice—it wasn’t a look for me. It’s fine, it’s fine. It’s just something that I don’t wear now. It’s kind of interesting but I don’t wear bow ties because Chuck Bass wears bow ties. It’s kind of unfortunate because I like bow ties and if you’re going to a wedding or you’re going to somewhere fancy, it’s a nice thing. But I get to wear bow ties every day.
Will it be possible to see you wearing Penshoppe in Gossip Girl?
Absolutely. We’ll see. It’s never my decision to decide what to wear on Gossip Girl but maybe if I had some influence, we’ll see what happens.
How do you feel about Kaylee DeFer joining the show and Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr leaving?
Kaylee’s been a great addition. Her character’s been interesting and she’s a lot of fun. I know Taylor’s gone off to do stuff with her band so I wish her the best. And Jessica’s gone off to do other stuff as well, I think. So I wish them and everybody the best and I’m looking forward to this new season.
Do you see yourself in Chuck Bass? What do you love about him?
I don’t really see myself which is a good thing because he’s a bit of a dastardly individual. But what I admire about the character, from an acting point of view anyway, is that he’s very, in some ways, four dimensional. He has such mood swings, if you like. He can be very dark, he can be very soulless and heartless and horrible to be around. He can be so tortured in himself. But he can be really loving—but obsessional sometimes. That’s what I admire, from an acting point of view.
Do people confuse you with Chuck Bass?
No, I wouldn’t say confuse me with. I don’t think it’s ever like that. They get surprised when they hear me speak with my English accent but no, not really. I think people understand that it’s just a character, it’s not real.
If you had the power to dictate what would happen to Chuck and Blair, what would you do?
I think they belong together. I don’t know how we’re going to get them together but I think they’ve got to come together at some point and have little Chuck babies.
In bow ties.
Little Chuck babies in bow ties.
Can you talk about your future projects?
I finished shooting J. Edgar, it’s Clint Eastwood’s new film and it’s about J. Edgar Hoover who was the head of the FBI in the States. It’s his story. I’m in that and I’m gonna play a young FBI agent. That’s very exciting and we’re going to enjoy that when it comes out. And we’re doing Romeo Juliet and I’m playing Tybalt, Juliet’s fiery cousin. That’s gonna be another interesting character for me to play—obviously a classic story.
Before coming here did you have any idea how huge your fan base was? How does it feel to drive a whole country crazy?
(laughs) I don’t know, I didn’t know. I mean I know that Gossip Girl goes around the world and it’s an amazing thing to be part of but I never kind of expect anything, I don’t think you should. It’s an amazing welcoming and I just want to say thanks. Everyone’s been really really nice. Good stuff.

Good stuff.
