Oh my word. This episode was so crazy-insane, I don't know what to do with myself! (I'm writing this late, so please forgive if I leave a detail out!) It was epic for so many reasons. RIDICULOUSLY dramatic. Starting with SE. Good lord, the pain he went through to prevent himself from biting her. The whole "because I love you - yes, stefan, b/c you love me!" was SO intense. Good lord, I was lost in it. Despite my love for them kind of fading into the background due to my excessive love for SK/DE/DK in the last half season, I love how emphasized his love for her was. Oh god, it was gorgeous. SO terrible that it had to be all lost in the end. *whimper* And uh, anyone feel a role reversal here with Damon & Stefan suddenly? I mean, obviously Damon can't be Mr. Morals 24/7 like Stefan strived to be, but when Stefan came walking in at the end...it was total flashback to Damon early season 1. Like, seriously. I feel so bad for Elena...enter Damon! Omg, how AMAZING was it that he carried her out of the hospital at the end? And their scene at the very end? ANOTHER epic Elena convo "where were you Damon? - I shouldn't have left. I promise I'll never leave you again." Gorgeous. DE is SO coming through right now. Though, there was a teensy part of me that was a little irritated when Damon told Katherine he wouldn't have done what he did for Elena for her. He was completely smitten for her in 1864. He freaking DIED for her. I highly doubt he wouldn't have run back to a dangerous situation for her. He was incredibly dramatic in his love for her. I mean, don't get me wrong. I LOVE that they're pushing for DE so much, and that's it's been made obvious that he's over Katherine, but STILL. Okay, so a part of me actually felt bad for Klaus in this episode. Like, maybe he has a fraction of a heart b/c part of building his "hybrid army" is so he won't have to be alone as the only hybrid. *sigh* I need more Klaus/Rebecca. I feel like they're sweet, bickering siblings. lol. I wanted something w/ Stefan & Rebecca too, since they seemed so electric in the '20s. But alas, you can't have everything. I was liking the little Stefan/Klaus bromance that was slightly there. I don't know, Klaus is evil & twisted, but once I see the human in villains I can't help but love them, and that usually happens right about when a new, more horrible villain comes on the scene. Michael! Okay, I probably should not be rejoicing because that is probably not good news that he's being resurrected. However, maybe he's just after Klaus & Rebecca, since he didn't slay Stefan in the '20s. heh. Maybe he has a grudge against them? For some bizarre reason... I wanna know what the huge deal is with the doppleganger too. Let's find the original and see how much trouble she caused. A third character, Nina? I think so! lol Okay, so moving on. I can't believe Matt essentially killed himself for a few minutes!! I really loved the Bonnie/Matt scenes though. I just hope they aren't turned into a couple or anything, because I get enough of every character coupling up with every other character on Gossip Girl. Let's please not have Jeremy & Bonnie break up for the randomness of Bonnie/Matt & Jeremy rehooking up with his dead vampire girlfriend, Anna. lol. Poor girl. We didn't see her much this episode, but I still feel bad for her. ANYWAYS, I've been really distraught since we've been hearing from Anna that whenever Vicki tries to break through to Jeremy she brings some sort of evil with her. That totally sucks, since I LOVED Vicki & especially her with Jeremy. That was awesomeness. =) So, yeah, I appreciated the Matt & Vicki scene IMMENSELY. It was so sweet at the end. Aww. And finally (I think), Tyler & Caroline! They were so adorable & gushworthy & I'm glad he was saved at the end! Yay! *claps* I do sense some trouble on the way though...the rush of energy he felt afterwards just seems too good to be true, and very...unnatural.
